Poker Software (Updated in 2020)
Doyle Brunson, one of the first researchers to examine how board runouts impact hand equity, sat in an automobile backseat with a deck and dealt out flops. His colleagues were also on the road looking for action.
Doyle and his crew had an advantage because of their dedication. However, times have changed. The vast selection of poker software apps and tools available today can give serious players a competitive edge. It is now up to you to choose the right software to accomplish the task.
The following describes how we tried to group software into similar tasks. We moved from the most basic to complex. It is obvious that this correlates with the price of software, with many tools available for free. It makes sense to start with these free apps if you have never used poker software before but are looking to expand your toolbox. You can skip to the next section if you are familiar with hand versus hands equities.
Please note that we don't attempt to write reviews about the various products. We have discovered that users often prefer the interface they feel most comfortable with. This is not an objective assessment. Our goal was to summarize the software and tools that our coaches use most often in their training content.
This is a constantly updated list with new programs and apps. You can leave a comment below to add your suggestion. Last update: June 2020.
