Top 10 Poker Training Sites 2018

Top 10 Poker Training Sites in 2018

Since our first list of top poker sites in 2009, Poker Training has grown into a major business. We find new sites every year as we update the list. In 2018, we took the time to go through all the sites and compile a complete list of the top training sites.

We want to stress that these opinions are only those of the TestYourPoker.com staff on these sites. Because different sites have different strengths, the list may not be in an order.

1. Advanced Poker Training: This site is totally different. It provides an online poker software program that allows users play up to 500 hands per hour against intelligent computerized opponents. Users also receive feedback at each hand. It offers detailed training reports as well as a weekly poker coaching plan that will show you where your efforts should be directed. You can compete against top-name pros like Mike Caro, Jonathan Little and Scott Clements. An active member forum is available, as well as a variety of training materials and games. There's also a podcast (Steamin Steve's hand review), and instructional material by Scott Blumstein, Qui Nguyen and Qui Clements, who were the last two WSOP Main Event champions. Because you're actually playing poker, it's the most enjoyable of all poker training sites. They also have lower rates than many other sites.

2. Deuces Cracked: This online training site has a "community" or group feel. It is similar to a poker education. Another well-established site, featuring over 3000 videos and podcasts, blogs, as well as regular updates. You will find tons of 6-max videos and plenty of MTT or 9-max videos. There is also a forum. Videos can be played from anywhere, with no DRM (digital right issues).

3. Poker Tracker is an online training site. However, this is an essential tool for any player who plays online poker. PokerTracker 4 is the standard for online poker pros. It keeps track of every hand you play in poker and allows you to see your win rates and other statistics. The "Heads Up Display” plug-in allows you to see information about your opponents even while you play against them.

4. Tournament Poker Edge is a site that is famous for its extensive Multi-Table Tournament (MTT), training content. While the site's main focus is to watch videos of successful players (more than 800), they also offer podcasts, a forum and a "TPE University” feature with multiple courses.

5. HUSNG - Heads up Sit-nGo (HUSNG). This site is for those who want to be successful at sit-ngo tournaments. It is the most popular site in this area. Sit-N-Go Grinders is another sit-n-go training website that they recently acquired. The site is a bit difficult to navigate but video packs are available for between $40 and $200.

6. Red Chip Poker has been growing rapidly over the last two years. They recently launched "CORE," a series which offers guided poker lessons, videos, and quizzes. Red Chip Poker is home to several great coaches, including Ed Miller (author of 8 poker books), James "SplitSuit," Sweeney (private coaching for almost 500 students), and Doug Hull (author of the tactical playbook "Poker Plays that you can Use"). Choosing a Poker Training Site
